Museum of the Future and DEWA come together to showcase future technology
The partnership will also include constructive research to help solve current ecological challenges
Dubaiās Museum of the Future and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) have collaborated to showcase ātechnologies and solutions related to the future of environmental sustainability and renewable energy.ā
The collaboration aims to position Dubai as a benchmark for low-carbon urban societies and sustainable development. Both will also work in tandem to research solutions for the ecological challenges.
“Through this partnership, we will work to select the best innovations and technologies to display in the museum. We will support government initiatives that contribute to making Dubai the smart city of the future, in addition to discovering more future technologies,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and chief executive office of DEWA.
āAt DEWA, we enhance national and global partnerships to forecast and shape the future to serve humankind. This supports the preparations for the next 50 years. The Seventh of the Principles of the 50 highlights the strategic goal to make the UAE a future global leader,ā he added.
The partnership was announced at the museumās Tomorrow, Today exhibition, which showcased concepts and solutions of advanced technology in renewable energy and sustainability.
DEWA has also set up a solar power plant to supply clean energy to the museum, helping the museum become the first in the Middle East to apply for the Platinum Rating in the LEED — the highest ranking for green buildings worldwide.
H.E. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, said, āThis partnership will support the museum’s important contribution to the UAEās future. It will encourage people to have their own perspective about the future and empower them to act upon it.ā
