Emirates is extending its partnership with Chinese tech giant Huawei. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Arabian Travel Market by Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations – the Far East at Emirates, and Pablo Nig, President, Huawei Consumer Business Group – the Middle East and Africa.

As per the joint agreement, both brands will fortify positioning in the Middle East, Chinese and African markets through collaborations to increase audience engagement.

In addition, both brands will remain committed to achieving mutual benefits, including the continued development of the Emirates Mobile App in the Huawei AppGallery, which has more than 530 million active monthly users.

Emirates and Huawei first established a strategic partnership in early 2020, a move that expanded the user base of the Emirates App by making it available on the AppGallery of Huaweiā€™s smart devices. In 2021, they expanded the collaboration with another agreement that allowed the Emirates App to be installed on their smartwatches. Last year, the app has had more than 1 million installs from AppGallery.

The Emirates app, which is also available on Apple Store and Google Play, offers customers a variety of features, including flight search, mobile check-in, and Skywardsā€™ account information ā€“ all designed to make the customerā€™s digital experience easier and hassle-free.

Emirates said in a press statement that it would continue to elevate its digital customer experience by investing and introducing cutting-edge technologies to its consumers.
